2009 New Graduate Program Dates

Hoag's New Graduate Program will assist you in making a smooth transition from the academic arena to hands-on patient care.

Hoag has developed a unique, eight-week long New Graduate Program. This program is offered quarterly to 10-20 new RN graduates that have been hired by Hoag.

Preceptors are assigned to each new hire to serve as mentors in their support and training, which is led by Hoag's team of 12 nursing educators. These educators instruct in all the major specialty areas including: surgical, medical, intensive care, coronary care, telemetry, oncology, emergency care, pediatrics/ neonatal, LDR/MBU and perioperative.

This comprehensive program combines classroom instruction, computer training and discussion groups with hands-on nursing practice to better equip our new hires with the special skills sets needed to be successful in their personal professional endeavors.

Hoag's commitment to this type of intense, individualized training, support and mentorship results in the successful transition of our new hires into direct patient care areas and is what makes our hospital such a satisfying career home.

An Interim Permit (IPRN) or successful completion of the RN licensing exam is required to be eligible for Hoag's New Graduate Program. For information on how to obtain an IPRN, please contact:
