Kendall Lauren Honig Pregnancy & Infant Loss Program

Dear Parents and Family:

We know this is a very painful and difficult time. We at the Kendall Lauren Honig Pregnancy & Infant Loss Program are here to help you through this tragic time. We serve those families whose lives are touched by the death of their baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth or in the first few months of life. We are here to help you heal your heart, and give you hope and support that you will survive this tragedy and put your lives back together again.

We offer two support groups per month. Each group is facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker with many years of experience in working with families who have had a loss.

Pregnancy & Infant Loss – 2nd Tuesday of the Month
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Location: Cardiology Conference Room
Parking: Dolphin Parking Structure (across from the main entrance of the hospital)
This group provides a warm, compassionate and safe environment in which parents and families have the opportunity to heal and work through the grief of their loss. You can share your story and feelings if you wish too, or just sit and listen. All participation is completely voluntary and confidential.

Pregnancy After A Loss – 4th Tuesday of the Month
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Location: Cardiology Conference Room
Parking: Dolphin Parking Structure (across from the main entrance of the hospital)
This group provides compassion, support and sensitivity for families who have suffered a previous loss and are either contemplating another pregnancy or are already pregnant. Again, all participation is voluntary and confidential.

Both groups are open to anyone who has suffered a loss, including if you had to make a difficult choice, no matter how long ago you suffered the loss. You do not have to have had your loss at Hoag Hospital to attend our groups. Extended family members are welcomed to attend with you. We are here to help you on your journey.

We are also available by phone at 949-764-8294. This phone line is checked each day for messages. You will receive a call back within 24 hours.

We encourage you to look at the rest of the site. It will provide you with some understanding and information about the emotions you will experience as you grieve for the loss of your baby. You may also find that friends and family will want to help, however they may not know the best way to lend their support. This site includes helpful information for them as well.

Through our experience, we have found that it is helpful for parents to come to support groups and be with other bereaved parents and share their story and feelings. It helps them to feel less alone, that they are not the only ones who have experienced a loss and that there are other people who know exactly how they are feeling.

With our deepest sympathy and understanding,
