Personalized Nutritional Assessment by Professionals
The Outpatient Nutrition Therapy service at Hoag Hospital offers personalizes, one-on-one nutrition counseling by a Hoag registered dietitian, your nutrition expert. This personalized assessment insures that your nutrition plan is compatible with your goals and lifestyle, which insures success and helps in recovery.
A complete nutrition history, weight history, food allergies and preferences are obtained and assessed, before any recommendations are made. Available lab results will be reviewed as well. Nutrition guidelines are carefully explained and written instructions are provided for your reference.
Follow-up
Outpatient Nutrition Therapy offers follow-up treatment with regular progress reports for you and your physician.

All you need to register for Outpatient Nutrition Therapy is an approved referral from your physician or an authorization.

The Cost
With a physician’s referral, Outpatient Nutrition Therapy may be covered by insurance. Contact your personal healthcare insurance provider to inquire about your coverage. If Outpatient Nutrition Therapy is not covered under your healthcare insurance, all fees are out of pocket. All billing is handled through Hoag’s outpatient registration office.
