Jr. Auxiliary/Candystripers

Junior Auxilians are young men and women who volunteer their time to assist patients, staff and the hospital.

Duties May Include

  • Transport & discharge of patients
  • Running errands
  • Service in patient care areas
  • Service with children
  • Special events

Requirements

  • Caring, friendly and cheerful attitude
  • Demonstration of responsible behavior
  • Age 14-18 years old (in high school)
  • Live within a reasonable commuting distance of the hospital
  • Attendance at monthly meetings the 1st Thursday each month from 4-5 p.m. at the hospital
  • Attendance at the new volunteer orientation & annual training meetings
  • Commitment of one year of service (We do not have a "short term" or "summer program".)
  • Commitment to volunteer at least 9 hours per month
